Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) is compulsory in safety management of oil and gas, petroleum, chemical, thermal power industries and etc. Organizations conducting oil & gas activities shall prepare and submit QRA reports to the clients.

Methodology

The sequential steps used to conduct the SIL classifications are shown as follows:

  • Collect and review data, information and documents
  • Prepare risk assessment report
    1. Qualitative risk assessment: Perpare (or Update) HAZID Worksheet indicator & BOWTIE Workshop
    2. Quantitative risk assessment: includes following steps
  • - Development of Rule Sets and Assumption Register

    - Hazard Identification

    - Major Accidents/Incidents (Scenarios Development)

    - Frequency Estimation

    - Consequence Modeling

    - Fatality Estimation

    - Risk Summation and Ranking

    - Risk Assessment

  • Submit the draft risk assessment report to client
