The Berkeley Engineering steering team now comprises a core working group of highly experienced individuals with backgrounds in Process Design and Project Management. The diversity of our core working group gives us the flexibility to pursue challenging projects and the strength to satisfy the needs of the client.
Irteza has held various project positions with major UK based engineering companies and operators, related to projects based in the North Caspian region, where he was involved in the management of oil and gas pipeline and process facilities. He also served as Chief Executive officer of Thaim Energy. Irteza graduated from Aston University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and is a chartered member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers.
Mujteba Piracha has enjoyed a career in Risk Assessment with the Big Four Consultancy firms before joining the team at Berkeley Engineering Consultants. He has an Engineering Degree with Honours from University College London, a Masters Degree in Finance and Financial Law from SOAS and is a member of the Chartered Institution of Taxation. As the Director for Risk and Safety, Mujteba is an experienced and an approved HAZOP Facilitator having Chaired a number of sessions for various clients. Mujteba is also a TUV Functional Safety Engineer and an approved Facilitator for SIL Workshops.
Alastair comes to Berkeley Engineering from a strong engineering background and has an excellent track record of business development at his previous company. He also brings his immense network of contacts in the Australian and New Zealand Oil, Gas and Petrochemical industries.
A highly experienced commercial operations leader, with a track record of applying expertise in strategy and implementation to deliver significant growth, from a global career spanning 33 years with Baker Hughes and GE Oil and Gas, covering E&P, LNG, Commercial Services, Strategy Development and Execution. Prior to joining the Berkeley team, he was employed by the UK Dept of International Trade in London where he was our International Trade Adviser and facilitated our Queens Award process and access to Government programmes. An agile and adept leader, with global experience and a proven capacity to build strong and productive teams, relationships, underpinned by a deep understanding of the Oil and Gas sector with an astute analytical capacity.
Fayzah brings with her over 30 years solid experience spanning contract administration, information technology solutions, and capital project process improvements that improve cost and schedule performance as well as overall value. She served previously as a Division Head supervising over 50 highly experienced professionals for Saudi Aramco’s Project Management organization supporting one of the world’s largest capital programs. She led the development of numerous capital project support tasks, including introduction of a formal Risk Management process, Interface Management, Lessons Learned, and Value Practices Management. She is truly inspirational Leader with BEC's management in Saudi Arabia and is an asset to the company overseeing all the strategic functions and growth areas of BEC.
Raed is a globally experienced at creating and leading multi-disciplinary diverse project, construction teams, engineering teams and construction Contractors. He operates positive working environment to meet projects goals within budget and on schedule. He has hands on experience in the execution of FEED, EPC, and PMC projects of technical and commercial complexity. His global management experience covers both green and brown field projects for major clients and EPC contractors. His global experience extends from handling projects phases from tendering through RFSU and commissioning across refineries, gas plants, gas and oil separation plants, olefin/ethylene plants and offshore oil and gas field/ piping and facilities, infield and export pipelines, cross country pipe lines utilities, maintenance buildings, fabrication shops and warehouses including permanent facilities. Raed manages BEC's PMC Division, overseeing and managing this growing field of expertise within BEC.
Salim Piracha brings with him over 10 years of solid experience in operations management, administration, and business coordination. He is currently serving as Lead – Operations and Projects at Berkeley Engineering Consultants (BEC), overseeing the day-to-day management of the company’s office and ensuring smooth execution of all administrative and operational functions.Salim plays a key role in supporting senior management, coordinating with clients and partners, and driving the company’s strategic initiatives. His leadership and organizational skills have been instrumental in improving efficiency, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting the overall growth of BEC in Saudi Arabia.A dedicated and result-oriented professional, Salim continues to be a valuable asset to BEC’s management team, contributing to the company’s ongoing success and development.
Mohammed Ahmed Mohiuddin is the Lead – IT and Procurement Specialist at Berkeley
Engineering Consultants (BEC), where he has been serving since May 2022. He
manages the company’s IT systems, digital infrastructure, and procurement
operations, ensuring efficiency and cost-effective performance.
Mohammed is also driving AI integration and digital transformation within BEC,
enhancing productivity and enabling smarter, data-driven decision-making. His
proactive and innovative approach makes him a valuable contributor to the
company’s continued growth and operational excellence.
Reshal Babu brings over 19 years of extensive experience in the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia, with deep expertise in lead contracting and supply chain management. He
has a proven track record in pre-qualification processes, contractual
arrangements, and vendor management.
Currently, Reshal leads Process Safety Studies projects, managing all phases
from Early Work Release (EWR/RFQ) through to project close-out. In parallel with
his contracting responsibilities, he also leads the development and
implementation of the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS). He is
actively collaborating with NVIDIA to integrate AI technologies into the IMS and
Quality Systems, driving innovation and operational excellence.
Mohammed Shaheen brings over 15 years of experience in Project Management,
Estimation Engineering, Proposal Engineering, and Contracts Management. Since
joining Berkeley Engineering Consultants in 2017, he has consistently
demonstrated exceptional expertise across these disciplines, along with a proven
ability to drive business development through strong client relationships.
With a solid engineering foundation and a commitment to delivering precise,
value-driven solutions, Shaheen plays a key role in advancing Berkeley
Engineering’s success and reputation for excellence.
