  3. RAM AND RELIABILITY STUDIES
Overview

Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) studies are systematic evaluations used to optimize the performance and lifecycle cost of complex systems, particularly in oil & gas, energy, and industrial facilities. These studies assess the impact of equipment reliability and maintainability on system availability and production efficiency, providing a quantitative basis for design, maintenance, and operational decisions.

Purpose of RAM Studies

To evaluate how system design, equipment reliability, and maintenance strategies influence the overall availability and performance of a facility or process over its operational life.
